Morris College is committed to promoting the intellectual and personal development of each student it admits. Participation in student activities is believed to be an important part of a student's total development. Intercollegiate athletics can contribute to the academic, physical, social, and emotional well-being of the athlete.

Morris College maintains intercollegiate teams for men and women in a variety of sports (men - baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, tennis, and track & field; women - basketball, cross country, softball, tennis, track & field, and volleyball).

The College is affiliated with the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and complies with the policies and regulations of the Association as published in the official manual, and as promulgated by the NAIA membership. The Director of Athletics works within the philosophy and resources of the college to implement the program.

Evaluation is conducted each semester in compliance with the Conference and NAIA rules which state that a student must maintain a 2.0 academic grade point average and earn a minimum of 12 semester hours per semester. Membership in the conference is an ongoing process that must be satisfied annually.
